Kanji kids

One of the last things I got for the kids before we left Japan was an embroidered t-shirt with their names written in Kanji. These are from the 2nd floor of the Diaei mall. We sure miss Japan!

Donovan's first bike ride

I think it was when Morgan was little, my dad got this seat and put it on his bike. I think all the grandkids have got their turn on it. Now it is Donovan's turn. It wasn't along ride but I think he will have a lot more rides to come!

An apple a day...

This was Donovan's first time eating an apple. I don't even know if I had given him apple pieces before. He loved it!

Easter Eggs

Window seat with a view

Donovan loves to sit in this window. This "sofa Table" used to hold some pretty decorations. Now it holds Donovan! He spends a lot of time playing right there.

Easter with Mrs. K's class

Cadence's class had an Easter celebration and Donovan and I got to attend.

The event start with an Easter egg drop. Each kid had to design the best and safest method of dropping an egg off a latter. They could use anything they wanted. Cadence used a milk jug filled with Styrofoam peanuts. Result: the egg survived it's fall. I think all but 1 kid's egg was safe. Some kids use jello, bread, corn, tissue paper. There imaginations were amazing!
Next we went back to the classroom for some artwork. They took a picture of a duck and colored it so that when you turned it over it looked like a bunny.


Then 3 classes went with us out to the playground for an easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun!

Magic sleeping jumper

Donovan loved this jumper in the store and once we brought it home and he jumped on it a few times, we learned that it had a magic ability to put the baby to sleep. No joke, if I couldn't get him to take a nap, I would put him in the jumper and *PRESTO* Donovan would be asleep.
